SyncMinder — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SyncMinder (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the SyncMinder mobile app (the “App”) on iOS or Android.
1) Summary
- You can use the App without an account (guest mode).
- If you sign in, we use Firebase to authenticate you and may sync your reminders/lists to the cloud so they are available across devices.
- If you buy a subscription, we use RevenueCat to verify your entitlement (Pro access). Payments are handled by Apple/Google.
- We may process diagnostic data to keep the App reliable and secure.
2) Information we collect A) Information you provide
- Account information (when you sign in): email, display name, and identifiers from sign‑in providers (Apple/Google) as provided to us via Firebase Authentication.
- User Content: reminders, lists/categories, due dates/times, notes/descriptions, and settings you create in the App.
B) Information collected automatically Depending on your platform and configuration, we may collect:
- Device and app diagnostics: crash reports, performance data, and basic device/app metadata (e.g., OS version, app version) to troubleshoot issues.
- Network status (online/offline) to support offline-first sync behavior.
C) Purchases and subscription information If you purchase a subscription:
- Apple/Google processes the payment.
- RevenueCat provides subscription and entitlement status (for example, whether “Pro” is active).
- We may receive identifiers such as an anonymous App User ID and entitlement status, but we do not receive full payment card details.
3) How we use information We use the information to:
- Provide core functionality (create reminders, schedule notifications, show lists).
- Authenticate you and sync your data across devices (when you sign in).
- Enable Pro features when you have an active subscription.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot problems.
- Improve the App (bug fixes, performance, and usability).
4) How we share information We share information only as needed to provide the App:
- Firebase (Google): authentication and cloud database/storage for signed-in users (e.g., syncing reminders/lists).
- Expo / Expo Notifications: to support push notifications where applicable.
- RevenueCat: subscription management and entitlement verification.
- Apple / Google: processing purchases, subscription management, and platform services.
We may also share information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (e.g., acquisition).
5) Data storage and retention
- Guest mode: your data is stored locally on your device (and may be deleted if you uninstall the App).
- Signed-in mode: your data may be stored in Firebase so it can sync across devices.
We keep information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., compliance, dispute resolution), unless a longer retention period is required by law.
6) Your choices and controls
- Use without an account: You can use guest mode if you don’t want cloud sync.
- Sign out: You can sign out at any time.
- Notifications: You can enable/disable notifications in device settings.

7) International transfers Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, depending on the locations of our service providers (e.g., Firebase). Those countries may have different data protection laws.
8) Children’s privacy The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9) Changes to this policy We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above.
